Agreement to the data processing by the applicant

By creating an applicant profile and additional usage of this offer, applicants agree to the inquiry, processing, and saving of their personal data and the access for employees from cooperative partners of the DHBW Karlsruhe, the registered degree program administration/degree programs on the DHBW Karlsruhe, as well as the administrators of the DHBW Karlsruhe as described in the following sections.

Visibility for all cooperative partners

Applicants can select one or more desired fields of studies, leaving the rest blank.

By using the Applicant Market, applicants agree that their profile is visible for all cooperative companies, even those who do not offer their desired field of studies. This way, all cooperative companies can contact and submit an offer to the applicant. The purpose of this is to make applicants aware of interesting degree programs and cooperative companies.

Agreement to the data processing by the cooperative partners

By using the company profile and the log in on the website, representatives of the cooperative partners agree to the inquiry, processing, and saving of their personal data from the administrators of the DHBW Karlsruhe as described in the following sections.

Which personal data will be inquired, processed and saved?

The Applicant Market will be used by applicants and cooperative partners. Therefore, different types of personal data will be inquired, processed and saved.

Personal data from the applicants

Prospective students can create a profile. This is completely voluntary. The profile can be deleted at any time.

The following personal data is required from the applicants:

  • Email address and password to log in to the Applicant Market
  • Title, first name, last name, date of birth, university entrance qualification, and earliest possible starting date for the specific designation by the cooperative company

The following personal data is optional from the applicants:

  • Telephone number, cell phone number, Zip Code, City, photo, interest on degree programs, information about if and when an applicant attended an Info Day at the DHBW Karlsruhe, additional competences, possible work locations, cover letter, résumé, certificates and references

Personal data from employees of the cooperative partners

The cooperative partners receive an invitation to use the Applicant Market. This ensures that only cooperative companies of the DHBW Karlsruhe have access to the personal data of the applicants.

The following personal data is required by employees of the cooperative companies:

  • Title, first and last name of the contact person, email address and password to log in to the Applicant Market

The following personal data is optional by the employees of the cooperative companies:

  • Telephone number, Fax number

Who has access to the personal data of the applicants?

Administrators of the Applicant Market have access to all data saved on the website. They only access this information to support in the selection process of the cooperative partners, for the maintenance of the service, or for the exposing of elements of inappropriate offenses or crimes.

The registered cooperative partners and degree program administration at the DHBW Karlsruhe also have access to the personal data of the applicants. They can search through the applicant profiles with the help of various criteria to show the relevant profiles and to send a message to the suitable applicants.

Under no circumstances will the personal data be given to third parties, especially not for marketing use.

Where does the data processing take place?

The processing of the personal data takes place exclusively in Germany.

Since the service is free on the Internet, it is possible that employees of cooperative companies might access the personal data of applicants if they are abroad at the time of the access.

How will access to the personal data be safeguarded?

Access to the personal data requires valid log in information. The log in as well as the transfer of personal data to the recipient’s browser is encrypted. The encryption will be secured by encryption measures according the state of the technology. Unsecure encryption measures like SSL v3 have been deactivated.

Cancelation of the Agreement

You can cancel your agreement to the processing of your personal data at any time by deleting your applicant profile/company profile.

The difference between deactivation and deletion of the applicant profile

By deactivating your applicant profile, it is no longer visible to cooperative companies, but you can reactivate the profile at a later point in time.

By deleting your applicant profile, your personal data will be irrevocably deleted.

Automatic deletion of applicant profiles

The applicant profile will automatically be deleted after 150 days in order to ensure that the data in the Applicant Market is up-to-date.

Cookies

Cookies are small files that are saved on your computer and information in connection with the use of the Web offer is held. This website uses session cookies, which are only valid for the current session and are deleted after logging out or by closing the browser.
